“Who has blinded your vision from my Truths.”

Updated: May 28, 2022

Hello 👋 😁 & Welcome!

Today’s word is about The Revelation of Fallen scales: “Who has blinded your vision from my Truths.” ⚔️ 🛡 🏹

Most of us know Satan mixes a part truth with lies and he deceives people as he operates through a technicality. He’s very sly and crafty with his words altering deception at its highest form. The area in which we are most vulnerable and susceptible to emotional attack, is the area he will often use as he tries to get a foothold inside our lives creating a stronghold against us. He studies are likes and dislikes, and he is operating at this present time in human form, meaning he works and operates through people. Jesus tells us to be wise and not to give in to our anger. To control our mouths, to have self control and to give no place to Satan lest he get an advantage over us. He is a false light, a copycat an imposter who pretends to be someone else in order to deceive people for gain. And what is this demonic creature from hell after? Ultimately, he’s after your soul but has to appeal to your appetite in order to lure you as his prey. It’s that old familiar secret sin we keep feeding and helping it grow. Satan operates in the opposite realm as this world is upside down. It’s contrary to the principles of God and goes against everything the Bible instructs us to do. God has a proper order, he tells us to do this or do that and if we choose not to take heed, sin lieth at the door and woe to the person who refuses the Fathers instruction as he will be ruled by The desire of the flesh.

Yet, Jesus offers redemption and he teaches when we do fall to repent and pick ourself up. I love King David as he had a repentant heart. He fell into some mischief behavior but was the apple of God’s eye because when he did a misstep (as we all do) he acknowledged where he fell short and quickly repented asking Gods forgiveness and to help him. In his epistle, it illustrates King David often expressing his sincere feelings of regret and his remorseful actions. God is not as interested in perfection as he is in obedience. When we slip and miss the mark, when we stumble God is faithful to restore us. Don’t yield to the lies of Satan as it’s never to late for you because while you still have breath in your lungs, God has a plan. And those who stir evil against you and go against God’s Will for your life he will hold them accountable as he makes it right for you. Pray for open eyes of spiritual discernment, so you can see the enemy schemes at his onset.

II Kings 6:17

“And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

Have you’ve heard the saying, You cannot see the forest for the trees? It’s often used to describe a person who is so involved in the details of life that they are unable to view the situation as a whole. Although we can easily see the other person’s faults, we are often blind to our own. For most of us, it is hard to shift the focus from others to ourselves but let us ask God for clarity to see the things in our own lives we need to turn our attention towards. It’s not the truth about someone else but it is the truth about ourselves that will set us free from bondage. We are not called to scold, berate or criticize one another but to love people and allow God to change them, not a man, leaders, parents nor spouses. The spirit of control is so rampant everywhere in homes, churches, businesses, government and nations.

“When you go looking for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will. Jesus tells us to look for the best and to show love as he knew the human nature of all mankind.” As we make Gods love applicable inside our lives it will cause us to put love into action towards one another, and the love of God will begin to draw people. This week try showing kindness without being judge mental, and just be a friend, listen, offer support without criticism as no one will open up to someone who is being forceful, demanding and coerced into your opinions, as people fight against restraint. Learn not to cut corners and do not take matters into your own hands but put your trust and faith in Almighty God, by prayer and supplication we can make our request made known as we relinquish our control by allow him to finish the necessary work He started.

Matthew 7:3-5

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.”

This verse warns us against hypocrisy, seeing the flaw (sin) in another while ignoring the obvious sin in our own lives. We do not mock or pull down people in order to make us feel good about ourselves. You never look good trying to make someone else look bad. Put another way, it’s when present circumstances shield the bigger picture. Thinking about this concept spiritually, sometimes the hardships we are facing can cause us to be blind to how God is moving in and through our lives.

I love this story about Elisha found in II Kings chapter 6, The King of Syria was aiming to invade and take over Israel. His massive army surrounded the Israelite camp, and Elisha's servant was alarmed, with good reason! He didn't know what to do, so he ran to the prophet Elisha.

II Kings 6:16

“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”

Elisha then prayed for God to open his servant’s eyes, so he could see the same thing Elisha could see. I take great comfort in this passage, for it reminds me of a couple of key principles. First, it shows that God is still working even when we can’t see it. Second, it reminds me that sometimes, God may give us vision if it's His will to do so, if we ask Him.

II Kings 6:17-20

17- “And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

18- “And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.”

19- “And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.”

20- “And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.”

It will literally take the wonderful working power of God to remove the scales from our eyes and help us all to see clearly. He knows our inward parts and everything that has taken place inside your life. So, take heart that God will meet you where you’re at. He says, come as you are and always remember the enemy brings guilt, shame and condemnation. It’s to keep you stuck and prevent you from moving forward and remain in the state of feeling hopelessness but Jesus died for our sins knowing in this flesh we would fail, knowing we would fall short, knowing at times we would give up on him and regroup when we are weak in our faith.

Sometimes life can get overwhelming and we feel like we’re in uncharted waters but never allow it to consume you and doubt Gods faithfulness and unconditional love he has for you. We only have one life and you better make it count. Forgive others, love much, do good to them who mistreat and despitefully use you because in doing so you shall reap a bountiful harvest if you don’t give up! When you are weak ask God for strength, endurance and joy unspeakable that is full of His glory. We chase after the wrong things trying to fill voids and discontentments inside our lives. These things are temporal vanities as they are here today and gone tomorrow. That new home, will get old, depreciate it’s value and lose its luster but the things of God will live on and last forever. Be wise in your doings and do not stray from the things of God for they will uphold you and they will keep you and they will be a strength in a season of weakness, loss and the darkest places in your life. Yet, turn your eyes on Jesus, he is our focus and he is our savior and he is our redeemer. He is not like man and doesn’t love us one day and condition us the next but His love is everlasting! He loved us before we loved him and more specifically, while we were yet sinners. He chose us long before we ever chose him. In hopes that we would turn from our wicked ways, fully submit and consecrate our lives unto Him.

In conclusion,

It may seem like the enemy is all around. It may appear like the odds are stacked against us. This world brings all sorts of trouble. From health scares and financial woes to job loss and relationship struggles, sometimes it feels like the world dishes out more than we can bear. We can feel like we are fumbling around in a dark room trying to find the Light. But, we can rest assure in knowing God is in absolute full control of everything! Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, (1 John 4:4). He’s working all things together for our good and His glory. Romans 8:27-29, And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Even more, this passage shows us God’s willingness to give us His vision. We can ask God to open our eyes and open the eyes of the ones around us. When I can’t see God moving, we should pray for God to remove the scales from our eyes. By seeking the revelations of truth in our lives. God will begin to unveil and reveal those hidden lies of the enemy by exposing him. And bringing our hearts and minds under subjection to the authority and mind of Christ. By aligning our Will, Mind and Emotions in agreement, and in full accordance to the Father as we surrender the strongman’s stubborn Will and help us overcome our flesh and carnality.

Collective Prayer:

Most gracious Heavenly Father, our maker of Heaven and of Earth we come humbly before you and ask that you send forth a mighty manifestation to scatter, to destroy and break in pieces every gathering of the work of the enemy and those who he uses as a form to gain access and leverage inside lives and sadly, those who masquerade as family and friends knowing and understanding they are a pawn in the enemy’s clutches, that when he is done using them he will turn on them. But Lord, give us the shoes of peace and your Holy Spirit of discernment that they too are hurting and need healing from the onset of Satan’s camouflaged, snares and pitfalls. Let us see that we are not waring against flesh and blood but causes us to see the principalities of darkness that would try to bring confusion and chaos, trying to turn our hearts against your truths and your law. In the name of Jesus, many have devised evil against your people, plots, devices, wrong counsel but your words says, Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. (For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform), Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them. Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. Every tongue that shall rise up against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn.“

Let the Blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior save us from the clutches of darkness, from all hurt, harm, danger, and spiritual demonic attacks. Jesus you are our defender, Jesus you are our rock, Jesus you are our deliverer, Jesus you are our fortress and mighty tower. I will sing your praises, as you revealed unto me that you are going to pull people out of their pit. I saw your hand stretched out forth in a pit Satan devised for me but you extended your hand of Mercy and have lifted me up from where I once stood in that Miry Clay and you have placed my feet on solid ground. And God you are no respecter of persons and God is saying to you today, “I am getting ready to pull you out saith the Lord of host as I have come in this hour, for this time and in this season to bring deliverance unto thee and set you free.” Give the Lord some praise! Right where you’re at and begin to thank him and magnify the Lord, because our redeemer lives!!

Lord, we stand in unity by faith believing on Colossians 2:14-15, Right now, I send the Word of God forth as a missile to destroy all powers, principalities, thrones, rulers of darkness, and all spiritual wickedness in high places as we are a threat to Satan’s Kingdom and a target but we our bought with a price through your life’s blood that breaks all strongholds and generational curses and be with those who stumble and fall but have a willing heart to serve you. I seal this prayer under the precious blood of Christ and send it forth to accomplish the work of the Lord that has been set from the beginning, from the foundations of the World. Lord, we believe it, we decree it and call it done under your authority and under your divine headship. In the name of Jesus, it is done. And all Gods people said, Amen! 💫

I Corinthians 10:13

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Isaiah 55:7-12

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”

What are the circumstances in your life blocking your view of how God is moving? What hardships are you facing that are keeping you from fully trusting God? We can ask God to give us His eyes. Whether or not we ever see the mountain full of “horses and chariots of fire,” we can trust and have faith that God is good and He’s working in and through our difficult circumstances.

In His Grip,

Pastor Wendy Schenkel
