I have an important question to ask you. Does the devil know your name?
What I mean is, what are you doing in your walk with Christ to make sure the devil knows your name?
There are many people who claim to know God and Jesus, yet aren't living the life. They have an outward appearance of the faith, but their actions speak of their true nature as our actions. "Speak louder than our words."
Back in the 1920s through the 1950s the Post Office used to hang wanted posters of criminals to let people know who was wanted. Let us imagine Hell's Post Office for a second. The wanted posters would read who's who of Christianity as follows: John the Baptist, Matthew, Peter, Timothy and the apostle Paul just to name a few.
In Acts 19:13-16 it says, "Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcist, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded."
When you heed to the call of God in your life you must first have a willing heart; trust and believe by faith with God, all things are possible to them that believe. For with man things are impossible but with God nothing is impossible.
Notice what happens here, they didn't say, "Evil spirit I charge you to come out in the name of Jesus!" If they had said that with power and authority believing whole heartedly, being confident in faith without fear or doubt then they wouldn't have been overtaken by that evil spirit.
II Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
