Gabriel appeared to Mary and said, "Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." -Luke 1:28
Dear Friends,
Mary was a young woman when she was called, to give birth to the Messiah. From an
earthly perspective, she did not have many qualifications for this enormous task, but
she had God's favor which enabled her to accomplish it and fulfill the scriptures.
As believers, you have the blessing of great favor available to you. The Lord is with you
and you are anointed with His favor. It is a gift from God, which cannot be earned.
This is wonderful news!! Let's look at some examples of God's divine favor:
1. To be approved of or liked:
When God's gift of favor is at work and becomes activated in your life, you will have approval in the eyes of others. We see an example of this in the life of Esther. The King favored her more than all the other women, and as a result of his approval, Esther was able to bring deliverance to a nation. God had appointed her to be Queen for such a time as this.
2. Privilege & Preferential treatment:
When you are favored, you are granted privilege and special treatment. Joseph
was highly favored in Potipher's house, and although he was bought as a slave,
he lived like the Master of the house. Even when he was in prison, he was not
treated like a prisoner. The chief jailer gave him special privileges. This is God's
divine blessing of favor made active in the life of Joseph.
3. To be given Benefits:
When you are favored, His benefits will manifest inside your life. Psalm 68:19
"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our
salvation." Selah
4. An unfair advantage:
When you are favored, you are often granted advantage that you never earned,
or deserved. Yet, God will intervene in our lives. Simply, showing us undeserved,
unmerited favor that will place us with an advantage.
At some point in our lives we all have experienced rejection and favor. However,
favor has many benefits, it opens doors of opportunities. It can deliver you from
isolation and attract many blessings. In fact, favor is like a blessing magnet, and
it is one of God's wonderful gifts He has freely given unto us. He desires we take
a hold of His favor as his children. So, get ready for new levels of His divine
greatness, to be made manifest in your lives for such a time as this.
